Experimenting is satisfying in so many ways. I really
enjoyed doing concrete scientific work. It's not every day that you get
the chance to leave your books behind and go from theory to practice.
Taking a hands-on approach and experiencing living science is what experimenting
is all about.
Experimenting allows us to go beyond observing what science has to
offer. We are no longer limited to critiquing science and reporting
on its good and bad aspects. Experimentation enables us to help shape
and become the makers of science.
Experimenting means creating and expanding the scope of science through
our efforts. It means taking initiative, exploring further and pushing
the limits of our scientific knowledge. It's a way of learning through
our own initiative. All this and we get to meet with experienced researchers
who are willing to share what they know so that scientific knowledge
does not simply fill the pages of encyclopedias, but is an integral
part of our daily lives.
