Dear Mr./Ms. Researcher:

This letter is to confirm that . . . is currently preparing a science experiment for the . . . edition of the Quebec Science Fair.

The topic of his/her project is . . . His/her idea is realistic and we (me and my student) have established his/her initial research parameters. He/she would nevertheless benefit from a meeting with researchers to increase his/her knowledge of the field and ensure that he/she is on the right track.

We believe that participation in the Science Fair is an effective way for young people to develop an interest in science and technology. We hope that you can encourage him/her in his/her chosen topic and help make the project a success.

Sincerely,

Jean Caron
